TBP is a colorless to pale yellow oily liquid, slightly soluble in water and miscible with most organic solvents. As a neutral organophosphorus extractant, it features good chemical stability and resistance to strong acid and radiation. Main applications: solvent extraction and separation of rare earth, uranium and other metals. It is also widely used as plasticizer, defoamer, industrial solvent and flame retardant.It is slightly soluble in water and fully miscible with most organic solvents such as kerosene and aromatic hydrocarbons. TBP boasts outstanding chemical stability, good resistance to strong acid and radiation.
